Master Drummer and Percussionist from Brazil.
I was born on the 4th of April 1965 in Brazil in a city called Porto Alegre. Porto Alegre is the capital of the state Rio Grande do Sul, .The most southeastern state in Brazil. My folk is called Gaucho.I am a Gaucho.We have our own dialect, own type of music, clothes, attitude towards life and we are very proud of our culture. A gaucho is like a cowboy but the south american version of one. Our culture has a lot of influence from Uruguay and Argentina for example in our music.
For me, the world is full of instruments. From hand-crafted concert drums to pots and pans in kitchen sink, i like to make music with different things I find, it doesnt´t matter what. For me everything can be used as an instrument. I believe that music is something of another dimension that is hard to define. You can try.What is music? For me it is a connection to something incredible and immense.
