Spaced-out flautist that plays on many of Gandalf's albums. The eight tracks on the CD are all different, but with a definite Far Eastern ambience. Much of the CD called to mind Deuter, while Dance for A Warrior and The Island sound like Ian Anderson meets Ash Ra Temple. Throughout his music, Horky maintains a wonderful harmony of acoustic and synthesized instruments. Voyager is perfect for meditation or introspection. Play this CD and take a voyage through your dreams with Robert Julian Horky.

Horky's first US release ranges from free-flowing meditative pieces to a 30-minute new age symphony. One of the most intriguing sections, however, is based on ancient Greek scales played on instruments from that period. This is a good cross-section of Horky's varied approaches, with some uneven moments.
